Functioning of motor transport enterprises on the market becomes possible due to the permanent increase of their services competitiveness. The effective tool of keeping competitiveness on the high level is the distinguishing of subsystems of management by its value in the existent system. For this purpose it is necessary first of all to select and describe the object of management.

In order to select the object of management of motor transport services competitiveness – i.e. the process of services offer and supply – the borders between it and business environment should be established. As criteria, according to which the objects of the process of services offer and supply are selected the following are used: consideration of the object within the limits of the enterprise organizational scope; establishing the relationship between them due to the unity of their functional purpose; taking into account all factors and conditions influencing the realization of the process of services offer and supply and the achievement of its goals. The system as the object of management of motor transport services competitiveness is described by means of the system approach, with the schematic model as its tool. It has been proved that the most appropriate technique for describing the object of management in this case is the IDEF0 methodology. The context and decomposition diagrams of the process of services offer and supply have been developed. On these diagrams the special attention is paid to those functional blocks, in which the parameters of motor transport services competitiveness are formed. The received information from these blocks goes to the subject of management to support the process of decision-making as to the parameters correction in order to increase the services competitiveness.

Key words: management system, object of management, competitiveness, motor transport service, process, parameters, corrective action.
