STRATEGIC ANALYSIS OF AN ENTERPRISE FUNCTIONING EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT

The results of researches on improvement of methodical approach to the strategic analysis of an enterprise functioning external environment are presented in the article. The idea of the author’s offer organically combines the I. Аnsоff’s approach concerning the strategic segmentation of the environment and the М. Porter’s industry analysis, expert survey to obtain the quantitative estimations of industry rating.
This methodical approach suggests: selecting strategic areas of management, determining their positions in the industries of their functioning, determining the attractiveness of strategic areas of management, selecting the strategic business-units and determining their position in the industry of their functioning. It allows determining the strategic position of business in the external environment.
